International Buyers' Days at International Supplier Center ISC 2012

It’s all about suppliers. As an experienced aerospace expert you are familiar with the OEMs’seemingly continuous struggle to find the right suppliers offering the right products in the right quality at the right time and at the right price.

The International Supplier Center ISC (September 11-13, 2012) aims at giving OEMs and 1st tier suppliers support in order to improve the search for new providers and to ease supply chain management. This Initiative, which will be embedded in the ILA Berlin Air Show (Berlin Schoenefeld Airport; September 1—16, 2012) provides a perfect working, networking and information opportunity for OEMs and 1st tier suppliers to meet innovative and internationally renowned suppliers from around the globe.

Following the success of the first time offered International Buyers’ Day when 400 B2B meetings between ISC-exhibitors and 50 international procurement managers took place and in order to further enhance this proven business and networking platform two International Buyers’ Days will be introduced on September 12-13, 2012.

Numerous OEMs and 1st tier suppliers are expected to confirm again the participation of their procurement officers. In 2010 among this group were EADS divisions Airbus, Eurocopter, Astrium, EADS Defence & Security Systems, Bell Helicopter, as well as international systems suppliers like AOA Apparatebau Gauting, Autoflug, Diehl Aerospace, Elektro-Metall-Export, Leistritz, Liebherr Aerospace, Litef, MTU Aero Engines, Northrop Grumman, Rockwell Collins, Wittenstein Aerosapce & Simulation, ZF Luftfahrttechnik, among others.

Using a professional internet based matchmaking platform the ISC exhibitors have the exclusive opportunity to approach the buyers to arrange 30-min. B2B meetings. Following the agreement of the buyer these meetings take place during the two International Buyers’ Days. The first day will close with a dinner cruise where ISC exhibitors and buyers are invited to continue with their networking. The ISC team will gladly assist you with this match making process.

By launching the first International Buyers’ Day at ISC 2010 the event became an even more attractive information and communication platform within the aerospace supply chain. Embedded in the business activities of ILA Berlin Air Show, the International Supplier Center is expected to once again attract more than 120,000 trade visitors in 2012.

To attract exhibitors to the ISC platform it will be crucial to show that there will be customer demand and opportunities to initiate business contacts. We therefore ask you to indicate if you are willing to register members of your procurement staff for participation in the International Buyers’ Days.
